W.Station
Section
The W.Station section of the Setup TAB allows the user to setup a number of parameters related to the weather station, namely,

Timeout in minutes corresponds to the
maximum allowable age for the information received from the weather station;
·
Timeout
Alarm when selected the sound alarm is played if the information from the
weather station is older than the Timeout period. To program the sound
alarm right click over the button;
·
Data old
=> Unsafe flag forces the Unsafe status if the AAG_CloudWatcher
information is older than Timeout period;
·
Units
o Temperature units;
o Wind speed;
o Date format – NB: this date format must coincide with the date format in use by the program controlling the weather station (Virtual Weather Station / FreeWX / Weather Display);
o
Cardinal
Points Symbols button to re-define the cardinal symbols in terms of the
language used in Virtual Weather Station software;
o
Unit
Symbols button to define the different symbols used for the units of speed
and temperature used by the weather station programs;
· Data File corresponds to the file containing the information of the weather station. This file is created by Virtual Weather Station program with the default name AAG_WeatherCenterVWS.htm or by Weather Display with the default name AAG_WeatherCenterWD.htm or by FreeWX as xpto123.html.
When Cardinal Points Symbols button is pressed, the following window is displayed allowing the Cardinal symbols to be re-defined in terms of the language used in Virtual Weather Station.
When Unit Symbols button is pressed, the following window is displayed allowing the definition of the symbols for the different type of units. In the example below, kilometer per hour may be represented as KM/HR or KM/H or KPH.
Note: When entering different symbols for the same unit,
separate them with a space.
