Limits TAB 

 

 

The Limits TAB allows the user to define the limits to classify the different weather parameters in terms of 3 distinct conditions. The description and color of these conditions can be redefined by the user as explained below.

Important

 

Note that the dewpoint conditions are calculated in terms of the difference between Ambient Temperature and Dewpoint Temperature.

 

This difference is an indication how close the ambient temperature is to the dew formation which is usually considered Unsafe.

 

 

The wind and gust conditions have a direction associated with them – RHS column. The direction values can be adjusted by right clicking with the mouse over the direction cell (as highlighted by the red arrow for Gusty condition) and the following window is displayed:

 

 

Note that the circle area highlighted in pink defines the region considered Unsafe.

 

 

Controls to adjust Unsafe area

 

 

The minimum time in minutes for which the wind must blow to be considered Unsafe taking into account its direction and intensity.

 

 

 

 

Some examples of different unsafe sectors and respective minimum times for which the wind must blow before it is considered unsafe

 

Unsafe sector from South to West and it must blow for 2 min before considered unsafe.

 

Unsafe sector from NW to NE and it must blow for 2 min before considered unsafe.

Unsafe sector from SE to SW and it must blow for 3 min before considered unsafe.

Unsafe sector from WSW to WNW and it must blow for 1 min before considered unsafe

 

 

By right clicking over the description cell the background color and description can be adjusted
